- I'm using nearly the same setup, Trumpet 2.1f and Eudora 1.5.2 and it
- works fine albeit very slow at 2400.
- The modem and serial port (DB 9 pin) share Com1 so you're correct in
- activating the modem. I use the command "lanon" prior to entering windows.
- Be sure the setup in Trumpet is set to Com1 vs Com2.
-
- I've used the serial port with a Motorola Power (28.8) external and it
- works, but suffers numerous comm overuns due to the internal 8250 uart.
- This isn't an actual 8250 chip, but one of those vlsi's so it can't be
- easily replaced. I have a Aiwa 14.4 battery powered on order, hopefully
- the uart can keep up with it.
-
- I've also loaded WFW and can communicate nicely with my desktop via the
- e-net port. This makes it easy to back up to the hard drive on the
- desktop.
